Data processed
Browsing involves processing technical data such as your IP address, date and time, requested page address, browser information and server responses. Protection systems may record login attempts and suspicious events. Your selected language may be stored in an essential cookie.
If you email the editorial team, the sender’s address and the information in the message and any attachments are processed. You do not need an account to read articles, and the current website configuration does not include a contact form.
Purposes and legal bases
Technical data are used to deliver pages, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and protect the website, on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies support these functions and your language selection.
Messages are processed to respond to your request. The legal basis is taking steps you request before a possible contract, where relevant, or the legitimate interest in handling correspondence. Mandatory duties are based on the applicable legal obligation.
Analytics and external services
Google Analytics, Google Tag, Burst, visit counters and reCAPTCHA are not enabled for public browsing. Page fonts and images are served by this website. Reading articles does not load social media or advertising embeds. Links to sources and other websites lead to external services only when you open them; those services apply their own privacy notices.
Retention
WP Cerber activity logs are configured for 30 days. Server logs use size-based rotation: in addition to the current file, up to ten archives per stream are retained, with rotation at approximately 10 MB. Their time span depends on traffic. Data needed to investigate an incident or protect a right may be retained for the period required by that particular need.
Correspondence is retained for the time needed to handle the request and any subsequent relationship, taking applicable obligations into account. Cookie lifetimes are described in the Cookie Policy. Backups are managed as part of maintenance and replaced or removed according to their operational cycles.
Recipients and security
Data may be accessible to authorised personnel and hosting, maintenance, email and security providers within their respective activities, and to authorities where required by law. They are not published or sold for advertising purposes.
The existing protection uses WP Cerber and Cerber Lab’s IP reputation service. Sharing information about blocked addresses is enabled. The provider describes a global network with servers also outside the European Economic Area: security service information. Contact the controller for details about recipients and applicable safeguards.
Your rights
Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Email info@enkey.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority.
Providing data by email is optional; without the necessary information, it may not be possible to respond to your request. The website does not make decisions producing legal effects on readers through automated decision-making.
